Mark began his career working in the oil industry after getting a diploma in Instrumentation from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (N.A.I.T.), obtaining trade certification and then graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Mark continued to work in the field of industrial automation for over a decade until the year 2000 as a consultant and full time engineer with Universal Dynamics
During the late 90's Mark managed a development team with a budget of over 1,000,000 building a cutting edge model-based control solution called Brainwave. Brainwave helped lime kiln operators, brewers and others save millions of dollars in energy costs. In 2000, Mark joined the team at Intrinsyc Software managing the Field Application Engineering (FAE) team.
The Intrinsyc FAE team helped top tier tech companies such as Motorola and Intel develop cutting edge mobile phone technologies. In 2005 Mark formed Deviceworx - a consulting firm that focused primarily on development of FDA certified biomedical devices including remote cardiac monitors. After completing a CardioNet biomedical project in 2007, Mark began working with a GPS assistance provider and handset developers to integrate assistance solutions within handsets for reduction of position fix times from over 1 minute to a few seconds.
In 2009, Mark began working with mobile marketing technology developer iSIGN Media. Mark managed technology development at iSIGN until the end of 2012 and produced both hardware and software solutions supporting mobile device discovery and messaging via their built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities. All solutions leveraged a cloud-based back end for device configuration and monitoring.
Mark is the Deviceworx founder and manages the technical team and business development. Duties include managing hardware, device and server software development, supporting sales and customers.
After graduating from the University of British Columbia in 1989, Inderjit was involved in independent contract and development work before joining MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates (MDA) in 1992. At MDA, Inderjit first worked as a software engineer (detailed design, coding, testing) on Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and ground station projects before taking on a more senior role as a Systems Engineer in which he wrote systems documents, ran acceptance tests, and performed on-site installation and testing of custom multi-million dollar systems for customers such as the European Space Agency and Raytheon.
Inderjit joined Intrinsyc in 1999 as a hardware/project engineer. In addition to working on customer-specific projects, Inderjit designed several of Intrinsyc's best-selling hardware reference designs, including embedded reference designs CerfBoard SA-1110, CerfPod SA-1110, CerfBoard 255, and Intel Carbonado, one the world's first smartphones. Inderjit left Intrinsyc in 2007 to start NPI Systems, a provider of hardware reference designs and custom hardware solutions based on the TI Davinci and OMAP series of SOCs.
All hardware development at Deviceworx is managed by Inderjit.
